About the Forum

What is the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum?

The Eurasian Women’s Forum is the world’s biggest influential platform for discussing the role of women in contemporary society. It aims to foster collaboration and facilitate an exchange of views on the role and contribution of women in politics, the evolution of the digital economy, innovation in the social sector, environmental security, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the promotion of charitable and humanitarian projects.

The First Eurasian Women’s Forum, held in 2015, provoked a broad public response and acquired a truly global character. It showed the increasing role of women in reinforcing peace and security, solving important socioeconomic and humanitarian problems. Over 1,000 participants from 80 countries unanimously supported the idea of holding the Forum on a regular basis.

The Forum participants are female members of parliament, representatives of the executive authorities, international organizations, business circles, scientific community, public institutions and charity projects, as well as prominent leaders of the international feminist movement from many countries.

Forum date and location

The main events of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum will take place on 20–21 September in St. Petersburg.

In addition to the main Forum programme, a ‘launch day’ devoted to the issues facing Russian women is planned for 19 September 2018, and will feature women representing all of Russia’s regions. 

Forum venues

The events of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum will take place at several major congress and cultural venues in the historical centre of St. Petersburg – Tavricheskiy Palace, the Parliamentary Centre, ‘The Universe of Water’ Multimedia Museum Complex, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall, and the Mariinsky Theatre, New Stage.

Forum organizers

The Forum organizers are the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Forum programme

The programme of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum responds to the contemporary international agenda and complies with the UN General Assembly Declaration ‘Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’.

The Forum business programme includes plenary sessions, strategic sessions, parallel expert and discussion platforms, business dialogues, foresight sessions, and master classes with mentors.

Participation in the Forum

Participation in the Forum

Participation in the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum is by invitation from the Organizing Committee only.

Participation in the Forum is free of charge. Registration is required.

Participant badge

The sites of business and cultural programme events at the Second Eurasian Women's Forum may only be accessed with a badge due to the stringent security requirements of the Forum.

Badges display information about their holder, including name and surname (in Latin characters), company, a photograph, the Forum logo, and a QR code linked to the participant’s entry in the Forum database.

The badge is personalized and may not be transferred to third parties. You must carry your badge and passport (or another identity document) with you at all times during the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum.

Badge collection

Badges are issued to participants at the Accreditation centre next to the entrance to Tavricheskiy Palace. To avoid any difficulties in accessing the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum venue, please pick up your badge in advance of the events.

In order to be issued with a badge, participants must present the same document they used to register on the Forum website (usually a passport).

Conditions for badge issue

Participant accreditation badges may be collected personally upon presentation of the participant’s passport.

You can upload a badge photograph in your personal web office.

Photograph requirements:

  • size 480×640 pixels
  • in colour, on a white background, suitable for documents
  • resolution 300 dpi (photo quality)
  • subject must be facing the camera, with no head covering
  • subject’s face must make up at least 70% of the image

If you are unable to submit a photo in advance, you can have your photo taken when you collect your badge in person.

Reissuance of a badge

The badge is personalized and may not be transferred to third parties. If your accreditation badge is lost, stolen, or damaged, please go to the Accreditation centre. The lost badge will be blocked, and, pursuant to a written application from the badge holder, a duplicate badge will be issued.

Personal web office

Use of personal web office on the Forum website

The personal web office is a personal section of the official Forum website for participants, where it is possible to edit personal information and upload a badge photograph.

Access to the personal web office requires the username and password provided on the information letter sent to participants following processing of their registration form.

Confidentiality of data entered into the personal web office

The organizers of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum strictly adhere to legal requirements for the protection of every participant’s personal data.

The personal web office has been developed using SSL data encryption to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information.

Changes to personal information

To make changes to your personal information after you have completed the registration form or submitted the data via your personal web office, please contact your personal manager.

Media registration

Media registration for the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum will take place from 2 July to 3 September 2018.
